The BT interactive TV trials (IMS trials) of 1995-6 broke new ground in iTV interface design and helped shape many of the iTV services we know today.
DOT director Pete Warren led the interface design and video animation team for the lead applications: TV on Demand, Movies, Music Video and Adland. The trials involved 2000 homes in Ipswich and Colchester and were amongst the first to deliver interactive video content over copper wire.
