The London Borough of Southwark commissioned DOT to develop an identity and visualisations of the interior for the proposed Southwark Discovery Centre.
The £8m conversion of Walworth Town Hall to a remarkable public gallery and museum complex is scheduled to coincide with the ambitious and exciting Elephant & Castle regeneration programme.
We designed a playful and adaptable visual identity that helped add momentum to the funding bid and provides a tangible focus for the project team.
The visualisations are a perfect expression of the identity that bring some of the possibilities to life. The first presents a bright and stimulating new home for the eclectic Victoriana of the Cuming Collection. The second features an interactive exhibit where a child bounces on a spring-loaded seat to move a huge magnet inside a giant coil, generating electricity. The more he jumps up and down, the more current flows, bringing a series of toys and electrical appliances to life.
