In 2001 we won a credentials pitch for the visual redesign of the recently re-structured web site for The University of Sussex.
The site is huge, with extensive and complex nested links. Our design was developed working closely with the in-house programming and editorial team, and delivered a framework for clarity, with a clutter-free 'down-to-business' feel.
The University of Sussex is distinguished as one of the UK's top research universities, and has strong business links through the on-campus Innovation Centre. At the same time, its proximity to Brighton, the sea and the nightlife make it an attractive prospect for potential students, and all these elements had to be carefully balanced with one another in the site design.
