Chiswick House Gardens interpretation and signage

02.07.2010

Chiswick House Gardens re-opened to the public on 17th June 2010 after a long period of restoration. DOT designed original interpretation across the gardens and in the conservatory and café, and designed a system of wayfinding signage around the site.

The historically important gardens at Chiswick, designed by William Kent are widely regarded as the birthplace of the English Landscape movement which influenced public spaces and private gardens around the world. DOT were appointed to the project at the end of 2009 and worked closely with English Heritage to deliver design, procurement and installation to a tight timetable.
